{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

This week I am thankful for:

Fall.

Rain.

Quiet nights at home.

Cuddles with my kids.

Tea, and tea parties.

Family time.

How re-arranging a space can be so refreshing.

How excited Rowan was to help me re-arrange her room, we had a blast.

For missing my computer when I spilled my entire coffee this morning!

For grass turning green in my yard again.

For Soktoberfest coming up at Pippi's.

For fall crafts, baking, and decorating.  (And for two awesome little helpers to do them with.)

What's New at Pippi's

So, it still feels like summer, more so than summer, right now in Fort Bragg but we are getting Pippi's ready for fall. Why? Cause fall socks are the best!!! Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what's new and I'm going to tell you now, don't wait, this stuff goes quick!

First, have you been in the kid's room lately?
It is stuffed full of knee socks, fun novelties for boys and kids and plenty of leggings and tights for your kids to be warm all winter!  My personal favorites are the sloth knee socks and the fair isle knee, (and don't forget the fox hat...I can't stand it, it's too cute!)

Also, we now carry Chooze shoes for kids!
This brand is great, the left shoe is never quite the same as the right which is so "Pippi's" and they use vegan and recycled materials.  Could it get any better?  Yes it actually does; this company invests their net profits in anti-poverty programs to provide micro-loans, training and support to help women successfully start businesses to lift themselves from poverty.  Now how cool is that?!

Chooze shoes! Right now we have sizes up to 13 kids and will be adding more.

Also for your creative kiddlings, Color your own stories.  The story is written down and the pages are blank for them to add their own illustrations.  And the "And Then" story starers lets you and your kid make up the endings to stories. So fun!

And finally the women's stuff!  Cozy legwarmers, we sell out each year so come check them out soon.  Perfect for layering with skinny jeans and boots or with you tights. Check out our Pinterest board "looks we love" for ideas on how to wear your socks, tights or leggings!

Smartwool fall is finally here, and it is so beautiful!!!

I love the pesto color!

Striped hikers!!!

Lovely knee highs <3

B.ella wools and cashmere.  Luxury socks how we love you!  As always beautiful and cozy B.ella socks.  My favorite for a gloomy day.

You are sure to see me wearing the thick over the knees all winter.  I will be slouching them down to my boots with my leggings...I can't wait till it's cold enough for this!

We also have tons of new leggings, corduroy, jean and printed they are fabulous.
New ozone socks, Foot Traffic, Sock Smith and great new men's socks too.
New fall hats which are all ready going fast, and new Ellington leather hand bags.  But you have to come in to see it all.

So, see you soon at Pippi's!

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

This week I am thankful for:

  • Time with my kids.
  • The chance to visit with my Grandma. I rarely get to see her because she lives out of the country and spending time with her (although I wish it could have been longer) was wonderful.  Watching her with my kids was priceless. Also, when they would say "Mamacita" (that's what we call Grandma) my heart would melt a little, it was very sweet.
  • Time with dear friends.
  • Garden time and fresh tomatos, I can't get enough.
  • Quality time with my dad this week.  He's pretty awesome and we don't spend a ton of one on one time so that was nice.
  • Game night! For the first time in so long Marshall and I went out with friends and played board games, it was so much fun!
  • All the love and support my husband gives me.
  • Watching Ro enjoy her first ballet lesson.
  • Waking up with my little Zo cuddling me, and kissing my cheek and saying "I got you!"

  • A great date night with my hubby.
  • My lovely parents giving us a chance for a date night.
  • Busy days at work and home, sometimes I feel a bit exhausted but in a good way.
  • Our local labor day craft fair, I got my my (3rd annual) ceramic garden gnome from this great artist there, this year I got a mama gnome holding her baby.
  • Sunflowers a plenty!
  • A three day weekend.
  • My husband's writing, (I so look forward to the nights he shares a new chapter of his book with me.)
  • My family, both of my sweet kids and my dear hubby are always trying to pamper me. My kids bringing me pictures and (wooden) breakfast in bed or my hubby bringing me actual breakfast in bed <3 they are so lovely.
  • Wool socks. Our Smartwool order finally arrived at Pippi's this week.
  • More days like these...
