{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

 This week I am thankful for:

The official start to fall. Yay.  We even had a day or two that felt like fall...bring on the fall colors and pumpkin spice!

Taking the kids on their first long bike ride! Maybe next time I can take a bike...

The first loose tooth, the excitement is nearly unbearable...

Rain.

Cashmere socks.

The love in my house.  My Marshall hearing me and understanding how I work and being there for me everyday.

My workout partner.  No, really. She wakes up and hour earlier than she should just to watch workout with me.

My kids and their sweet hearts.

Baking.  The time is here.  Banana breads, zucchini muffins, pumpkin cookies, oh my!

Swings.

A fun Harvest Festival at the school, and the dear people who put it on and treated my kids so sweetly.

And cats...

The admiration I see when the kids observe their Daddy.

My parents inviting us to a fun event.

The joy that Zo exudes with every moment, their joy and laughter is contagious.

And being able to see my kids and their devotion to one another, it melts my heart.

Reading books with the kids.  I love that we can do chapter books now.

The small town we live in.  People who care about and work so hard for the community, we are lucky to have people who care.

The kids picking Halloween costume ideas that I can totally make! (Let's hope they don't change their minds!)

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

 This week I am thankful for:

The rain we got this week.  I really hope there is more on the way.

An abundance of work...okay I am trying to be thankful for all the work I have put on my to do list.

Speaking of work, checking off a big project on my list, I sent away my illustrations for my Grammy's next book this week!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with my Grammy on a project that she has been thinking about for 30 years.   So thankful that Grammy asked me to be her artist for this book.

My kids being so sweet and so adaptable.

That the kids love being at work with Marshall or I.

That I have a loving mother who is so willing to help me when I need to work sans kids, (because yes, I still have a problem leaving my kids with non-related baby sitters).

A good reason for me to learn how to use movie maker, to make a video for my moms birthday.

A busy Saturday at the shop, and a nice turn out for the Sidewalk sale.

A great time with friends, old and new.

So many great new things at Pippi's.  Cozy fall stuff!!! Now I just need the fall weather to catch up with us!

My husband who is always working so hard to help provide for us, take care of us, and pick up my slack when I feel exhausted.

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

 This week I am thankful for:

Another good week at school for Ro.

Meeting some other parents at back to school night.

Helping out Rowan's teacher after school and getting to chat with her a bit.

Great new things coming into Pippi's. (A new bamboo sock line!)

A chicken that was starting to go broody deciding not to...lets hope that sticks for now...

Weekends with my family.

A happy mistake, that lead to a lovely lunch and afternoon with my parents.

Cuddles with my kids.

Kind notes from old friends.

Playing sign spotting games with my kids.  It's just about the cutest thing to hear them in the backseat as I drive saying "Turner sign!"

A lovely birthday party for a dear little guy.

Reading with Rowan.  I am so enjoying watching her figure it out!

Also chapter books with the kids, ( I forgot how great the Land of OZ series is!!!)

Time with my main squeeze.

Being woken up (even if it's before 7am on  the weekends) by Ro and Zo and their sweet voices.

Gratitude Sunday...er...Tuesday

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

 This week I am thankful for:

A great start to the school year. Rowan is loving school and her teacher.

Getting into the swing of our routine again.

For being able to have my kids at work with me, sometimes it's hard, but it is mostly so good.

For Zo helping me paint the windows at work.

New socks coming in at the shop, and all the new fall lines!

The wonderful woman who is the school librarian, she is so sweet and caring with my kids, we pretty much just adore her.

Also, everyone at her school has been so sweet.

Visiting with the Turner side of the Family, and getting to spend some time with my Grandma.

My Dear Grandma.

I am so grateful that she comes back to the states each year for a visit, and so glad my kids get to know her.

I am also thankful that we got to spend time with a lot of the Turner's.  It is so good to be with family and I love catching up with my cousins and my Aunts and Uncles too.

The kids really enjoyed being silly with Uncle Andy.

For getting some lake time.

For finally getting into my yard and cleaning it up a bit.

For a lovely day gardening with my hubby.

Beautiful (if a bit long) drives.

For going new places.

For beautiful sunsets.

For having a caring, funny supportive husband.

For finally getting my order of new hats in the shop!

For customers who are very sweetly patient and encouraging while my daughter's ring up their purchase.

And for the encouragement of my dad.  He is always pushing me to get out of my comfort zone, and reminding me that sometimes a risk pays off.

And for having so much to be grateful for.
