Showing our Pride

So last week we did a Pride themed window display.  Surprisingly (or maybe not surprisingly, because Pippi Fans are awesome) the quick picture that Pippster Nicole took with her phone and posted to Facebook has been our most liked photo on Facebook...ever I think! Sweet! Thanks sock shoppers for liking, and sharing and being wonderful!

Feeling Good, Feeling Grateful.

Grateful for this good life.

First day of summer, was lovely. Daddy let me sleep & made breakfast (have I mentioned before he is wonderful.)  After reading books with Ro, watering the garden and Zo's nap we walked at the Botanical gardens.  (Thanks to my dad, who gave us a family pass, I think we will be spending a lot of time there!)
Ro kept saying wanted to see the signs...it took me a second to figure out what she meant, but there is a sweet children's area that I call the fairy garden with cute painted signs...

Before we reached "the signs" we had to stop to say hello to this awesome dragon!
The Botanical gardens has great sculptures through out the gardens right now (I'm not sure if they are there permanently or not) They are all different from one another but so beautiful I really enjoyed them.

"Right this way."

Sisters <3

The aforementioned signs.

Giant birds nest in the fairy garden.

Rowan was worried about touching them, she thought they would be fragile.  I told her that they were indeed not fragile; but after she asked when the mommy bird would be coming back, and when the eggs would hatch...I didn't have the heart to tell her these eggs were not actauly real.   I just said I didn't know, and she created a story about the rest.
Her imagination is so vivid and she can now tell us what she is thinking so clearly, I love that little window into her mind.

This color Cala Lily was our wedding flower<3

After our walk we headed to The Feed Store and picked out some fish for Baba's pond for his Father's day gift.  The kids played with Auntie B and did some swinging while I put the fish in the pond.

Zo's first ice cream cone.

So our day was lovely and I am so grateful for all I have.

Summer is here!

Ah sweet summer.

I don't technically have a summer break but because my husband does, I sort of do.
I get to go to work more regularly, and without bringing the kids.
Don't get me wrong of course I miss my kids  (and I love when daddy sends me pictures while I'm at work or better yet they walk down to the shop and say hi!) but actually being able to work without also mothering, this means:

Ringing up customers with two hands, (no baby on my hip, back or leg!)
Talking with customers without watching the door to make sure Z didn't run out.
Not having to check any and every container type thing at ground level for random products or socks, (yes Zo loves picking things up and putting them in different things.)
And not having to go to work after babies bed time to do ordering and book keeping.
Wow.
Productivity here I come!

Zo at work last week, taking all the lunch boxes off the shelves merchandising!

I also look forward to gardening, spending many sunny days outside, and after dinner walks.
We took our first summer after dinner walk just the other day.  <3

Happy summer!

Birthday Sweetness

Last Sunday Zo turned one.  I can not believe my little baby is a year already, so happy and so sad!
We had a sweet party for my little sunshine.

I find now that Zo is mobile I have slightly more time to do things that sort of count as "me time", (like decorating for a party or brushing my hair, and I find a few times a week I get to pee uninterrupted!)... That is, when I am not spotting them while they climbs on anything they can get their leg up on!

Rowan was also pleasantly surprised on Zo's birthday.  First we Zo gave Rowan a sweet big sister gift, and then Gaga and our friend Holly brought her gifts too!  Besides getting presents when it was not even her birthday she "helped" Zo open all their gifts and has been playing with all the new toys ever since.
She asked me today "when is Zo gonna get more presents?"  When I told her on her next birthday she asked how many "sleeps" that would be, lol<3.

We got Zo this sweet wooden pram, totally beautiful right...

We should have gotten a scooter, ZO actually gets in and pushes himself!

Happy birthday baby!
A year ago I was worried; how could I ever love another baby as much as my first?  But it's is amazing how the heart grows... When each of my kids were born, it seemed as if I could feel my heart growing, almost bursting, but still I love my kids more each day...I am a lucky mommy.

Tumblr

I have had a personal tumblr account for a long time and my activity on there waxes and wanes.
But I post and like a lot of sock pictures, (big surprise I know).  Anyway, I decided to start a PippiSock tumblr.  I will be using it as a sock look book.  Check it out if you like.
