This Moment

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

This week I am thankful for:

A busy but fun filled week.

A great time with one of Ro's classmates and her family.   Roasting veggie dogs, vegan marshmallows and playing on the dunes, what could be better?

Lot's of time with loved ones.

Marshall's last day of work until August, woot!

Rowan's last day of Kindergarten, she had a great year with a great teacher.

SUMMER!!!

Adventures to come.

Zo, my sweet little four year old.

That when Zo got to pick anything she wanted for her birthday dinner, they picked eggs and pancakes!

Family time, family time, and more family time.

Kids books by Neil Gaiman, hooray!

Also, marble run...hours of fun...seriously I love that thing!

Birthday party fun.

A breakfast date with a dear friend.  It was so good to talk uninterrupted by the many brilliant questions of kids sometimes. Also, I am so craving that breakfast,  Cave Jaavy, if you haven't been go!

That there are sweet little babies in my life to cuddle! (And more on the way!)

The hug train.   No really, my kids request their traditional morning hug (this is like 10 minutes of cuddles), mid morning hugs (they really call it that, it is about 5 minutes of hugs), the rest of the millions of hugs are not titled but it's definitely cuddle town these days, and I will happily take it!

Ridiculously awesome kids.

Surprise treasure hunts from my mom for the kids on their Birthdays...So cool mom!

That even among threats and defamation life goes on and the love and support rolls in.

That the majority of people can spot a blatant lie.

So many great people who work tirelessly to help make our town a better place.   I can not wait until the south side of the coastal trail is done.

So many visitors coming to our lovely little town who appreciate mom and pop shops and love shopping in our sweet downtown.

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

This week I am thankful for:

A fun time at the carnival last Sunday!

For being surrounded by so much love in my life.

Kids who react like this to farmer's market carrots!

Friendship.

Support from loved ones.

Sisters.

My morning cuddles with Zo.  But also walking into their room and finding this in the morning melts my heart.

Garden time with my kids.

Marshall's help with my evolving garden plan.

Zo's adventures with Socky.

Another fun First Friday downtown.  It was great to see so many people enjoying First Friday this month.

Skating with the kids again at the old rec center, they loved it,  they are getting the hang of it too.

For the rec opening for skating every Friday this summer!

My little readers.  Rowan has been reading non-stop, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, (I am so proud!)

A fun field trip with Rowan's class.  The library, the visit was too short, but the kindergartners got their own library cards, so we'll be back!

Field day at Redwood, I helped out and took Zo, the kids had a blast.

For a good day Saturday.  I was a little nervous about canvassing Fort Bragg to spread awareness on the No Recall campaign, but it went so well!  I had nothing to be nervous of,  I am glad to live in a place where people are so welcoming, and glad I was able to let people know what is going on.

Zo turning 4 this upcoming week.  I am so grateful to have my kids, and I so treasure my sweet, special baby.  ( I wish I could freeze time sometimes!)

June = Pride, Dads, and Grads

June is one of my favorite windows each year.  Pride & rainbows just makes me happy to look at it each day,  and I love supporting equality for all!  This year my window is extra interesting...there is a lot going on in this window, but it is all important so I am putting it all out there!

In June we also have graduations as well as fathers day.  Whatever you are celebrating this June, one or all of these things...Pippi's has you covered!!!

If you are getting colorful for a Pride event or just want to show your colors and support everyday.  Rainbows, unicorns, and pride leg ware, we've got it.

Shades for a sunny graduation day.  Name flags for the new college dorm. Or great socks to spice up your cap and gown attire!

Father's day gifts, mugs, hats, and as always socks...Because we know, dad can never have enough socks!

Also don't forget gifts for the teachers in your life, I like to bring the kids and have them pick a little special something for their teachers.  (Although, it can get a little random sometimes...)   The end of the year is nearly here, these are a few of my favorite  sock options for teachers.
