capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary
moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Gratitude Sunday
Inspired by: Wooly Moss Roots -Simply Joys of a Soulful Life Gratitude Sunday
{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}
This week I am thankful for:
A lovely family gathering.
The special days and moments with with the kids.
Dance parties with Marsh and the kids.
My creative, imaginative little kids.
For my garden growing and blooming.
For a great experience at the kindergarten open house and book fair, Rowan is really looking forward to school next year!
Celebrating our eighth year in business.
Talking with lots of happy customers this week.
For the kids both being able to (and wanting to) listen to chapter books.
(I am so excited about this! Please share if you have any good suggestions for a 3 and 5 year old?
I have started with "The Boxcar Children" and will probably do Pippi or Pooh, next and look forward to them being a bit older for "The Chronicles of Narnia", "Harry Potter" and "The Wizard of OZ".)
The generosity of many friends this year with different plants and starts for our garden.
For the friendship Ro and Zo have.
Butterflies and bees showing up in the garden.
Lots of kitty love.
Long walks, and short walks.

When you buy from a small business...
I came across this online the other day and it really rings true.
I think sometimes we forget the impact we have in our community. But I do not forget what my customers mean to me, and do for me. So I thought I would share with you what you, my dear customers, do for me when you shop at Pippi's.
I think sometimes we forget the impact we have in our community. But I do not forget what my customers mean to me, and do for me. So I thought I would share with you what you, my dear customers, do for me when you shop at Pippi's.
When you shop at Pippi’s you are putting food
on my family’s table, giving my daughter’s swim lessons, a summer camping trip for
our family, and helping us pay our mortgage! You also make it possible for me to have employees so I can have some time at home with my sweet little family.
So thank you, because I know sometimes it feels hard to step away from the computer and come
downtown, and it's hard to stop the daily go, go, go to take a stroll
through our little shops. But it means so much to me (and other shop owners) that you do. Even if you are just stopping in to check things out, I appreciate you coming in, and I love visiting with my customers. If it's been a while since you have visited Pippi's I hope you come in next time you need socks, or a special gift, or just to treat yourself.
Thank you for shopping local and supporting my family and our community.
Here is a little bit of cuteness to end this post:

Gratitude Sunday
Inspired by: Wooly Moss Roots -Simply Joys of a Soulful Life Gratitude Sunday
{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}
This week I am grateful for:
Family, near and far.
Ideas, their strength, the passion they bring and the drive they create.
Creativity, big and small, it feels good.
A beautiful week with my kids. I felt unusually drained at times this week, but trucked on through and enjoyed every moment. Except some trying bedtime moments....
Speaking of bed... I am thankful for bed time getting a bit better with Zo. The transition to her big bed started smooth, we have hit a few bumps along the way but I think we are evening out now...fingers crossed.
Lovely garden days and walks and runs in the sunshine.
Picnic dinners.
Watching my garden grow.
Signing Ro up for kindergarten... okay I am trying to be okay with this one...it's a milestone but I am going to miss her while she's at school!
For summer fast approaching, this means I will be at Pippi's more (woot) and it will be busy ( double woot), and Daddy will be off of work for summer! Yeay! Also this summer, lots of camping and I can't wait for that!
Quiet walks home.
